Prep & Aftercare

What should I wear for my massage?

It's best to wear comfortable clothing to your appointment, something that's easy to slip on and off. You may have oil on your skin after your appointment so avoid delicate fabrics that may be effected by the oils.

Preparing for your facial

Here are a few instructions to get the best results from your facial -

  • Avoid retinol/ peels and harsh ingredients for at least 72 hours before your appointment.

  • Minimise sun exposure and avoid sun beds. Overexposure can lead to sensitivity

  • Skip waxing, laser, shaving and threading treatments on face and neck for at least 48 hours beforehand.

  • If possible come to your appointment without makeup or minimal makeup.

  • It you have had facial injectables such as Botox please wait at least 2 weeks before having a facial. This allows the product to settle in the targeted muscles.

  • For dermal fillers in the face please allow between 2-4 weeks depending on treatment area to allow the filler to integrate with the tissues.

Aftercare for your facial

Take a look at our aftercare tips to feel the best benefits of your facial -

  • Avoid direct sunlight. You will leave with SPF on your skin but it's important to keep on top of it and reapply throughout the day.

  • Avoid touching your face. I know it's tempting because your skin will  feel silky soft but touching can cause bacteria build up leading to breakouts.

  •  Change your pillow case before bed.

  • Stay hydrated

  • Do not exfoliate for at least 72 hours. Skipping scrubs, peels and retinols will prevent over exfoliation and irritation.

  • And most importantly relax and enjoy you fresh bright complexation.

Aftercare for your massage

Now that your massage is complete and you're feeling refreshed, here are a few tips to help you maintain that sense of relaxation and wellbeing.

  • Drink plenty of water. Hydration is key to recovery.

  • Get your rest. Give your body time to heal. Especially after a deep tissue massage, you can feel unwell if you try doing too much.
